The tour takes us from Soraga to San Vigilio di Marebbe passing through Canazei, and up the Sella pass then continuing to Colfosco and La Villa in Badia, from San Vigilio after a break we head towards the Furcia Pass (1737m) in Valdaora, then continue along the SS 49 – to Sesto up to Passo Monte Croce (1636m).
From here the tour leads to Parola nel Complico, where you continue to Passo San Antonio (SS 532).
Beautiful descent with tight hairpin bends up to Auronzo di Cadore, where you take the direction for Cortina d’Ampezzo – Misurina to admire the beautiful lake.
In Strabiziano there is a farmhouse that can act as a place of refreshment.
The tour continues to Passo 3 Croci (1809m.) The panorama here is unique. Below Cortina d’Ampezzo surrounded by the Tofane, on the right the Cristallo group, on the left the Sorapis massif. In front of Croda del Lago.
Once in Cortina you cross the village and take the road to Falzarego. In Pocol turn left into Passo Giau to descend to Colle Santa Lucia – right at Andraz and immediately after climb Passo Falzarego (2105m). Arrived at Passo Valparola Pit.-Stop to take pictures. Frontier area of the First World War.
Descend to San Cassiano in Badia continue to Val Badia – La Villa and Corvara, from here you can decide to return through the road made in the morning through the Gardena pass and the Sella, or going left making the Campolongo pass continuing to Arabba, the Pordoi. from Canazei to the hotel is 9km!
Always starting from the Hotel Avisio, we get on the bike we head towards Predazzo, from here towards Passo Rolle and San Martino di Castrozza Towards Transacqua along the SP81, the village is located between the National Park of the Belluno Dolomites and the Natural Park Peneveggio Pale di San Martino.
We continue the journey passing on the SS50 and SP1bis until you get to Follina, then on the SP4 to Pieve di Soligo.
From Pieve di Soligo, taking the SS13, we arrive in Conegliano where you can taste a glass of excellent Prosecco d.o.c. but only one I recommend!
Every year, in June, in the heart of the historic center of Conegliano there is the event of the Dama Castellana, a game of checkers with characters in Renaissance costume and in September, in the most characteristic places of the city is played the Enodama, a checkers tournament in which the pieces are replaced by glasses of white and red wine. The aims of Enodama are the socialization and enhancement of the productive companies of the territory.
From here we continue our journey passing through Cordignano, until we reach Vittorio Veneto.
From Vittorio Veneto we continue the journey, up to Ponte nelle Alpi towards Belluno and Sedico, for the SR204 through the Belluno Dolomites Park you get to Agordo and Cencenighe.
Now you can choose whether to go left on the SS346 through the San Pellegrino pass, or right towards Caprile Malga Ciapela with the majestic Marmolada and the Fedaia pass.
From here we return to Soraga final destination of our journey.
We start from the Hotel Avisio in Soraga and head on the SS48 of the Dolomites to Cavalese to see the country, returning to Tesero we turn left for the first step of the tour the Lavazè SS620 pass, we always remain on the main passing by the pass and descend until shortly after the village of Ponte Nova where we take a right to Lake Carezza, Here it is worth stopping to see the colors and the panorama reflected in the waters… passing through the Costalunga pass, SS241, in this way we pass through Vigo di Fassa.
In Vigo di Fassa we take, on the left, for Canazei, SS48, here we take a right for the Fedaia pass, SS641, arrived at the pass we turn, on the right, on the road on the dam of Lake Fedaia, our goal is the visit to the Marmolada glacier, visited the majestic area of the Marmolada massif we resume our journey, SS641 then SP641, to Caprile (Alleghe).
In Caprile we take a right, SP638 for the Giau pass, we descend from the pass and arrived at Pocol, we take a left for the Valparola pass passing through the Falzarego pass, we always keep the main one until shortly after the village of San Cassiano in Badia, at the junction we take to the left, SS244, for Corvara, we always keep the main one passing through the Gardena pass and then the Sella pass, we go down to Canazei and in a short time here we are at the hotel for a well-deserved rest.
First part: after a hearty breakfast we leave in the direction of Moena at the roundabout we follow, the signs for Passo S. Pellegrino, SS346.
At the bottom of the descent of Passo San Pellegrino we take, to the right for Passo Valles and then Passo Rolle, we descend from the pass always keeping the main one, SS50, passing by: San Martino di Castrozza, Siror and Fiera di Primiero (Tonadico).
Here we take, on the left, SS347, for the Cereda pass, in Agordo we turn left for Alleghe along the Val Agordina, a variant could be that in Agordo you take a right following the signs for the Duran pass and returning to the main route to Caprile.
We opted to see Lake Alleghe, we continue to Caprile and then follow the signs for Arabba, Pordoi pass, descend from the Pordoi pass and still follow the signs for Canazei, Soraga… Where those who want can interrupt the tour, or ”break” it in two days.
Second part: in some small sections of the route we are forced, there are no alternatives, to pass twice, this time arrived in Moena we continue straight to Trento, we always keep the main following the info for the Val di Cembra, another option is that in Castello di Fiemme take left for the Manghen pass and get off at Borgo Valsugana.
We continue past Cembra towards Valsugana, towards Levico… before Levico you meet Lake Caldonazzo, around which you can also go around, now we are close to Trento where a stop at the Muse, the Buonconsiglio castle or the Duomo are indicated.
Starting from Trento then go up towards Lavis from where you take the SP76 towards Segonzano, faster is the SS612 fio to Lake Stramentizzo, Before arriving in Val di Fassa, do not miss a visit to the waterfall in La Cascata. Then from here straight ahead to Soraga.
Starting from Soraga we continue to Canazei, Pordoi pass (1st pass 2242 m) and arrive in Arabba and head towards Pieve di Livinallongo. (strongly recommended the full tank of petrol as for several km we will no longer find any distributor), Caprile (Alleghe), at the junction we turn left for Cortina d’Ampezzo touching Selva di Cadore, Colle Santa Lucia. Overcome, the climb to the legendary Passo Giau begins (2nd step 2236 m), arrived at the pass we make a well-deserved stop to take some photos and admire the panorama that surrounds us, do not miss the opportunity to photograph the bike set in the tree trunk. The descent is rewarding both from the point of view of driving, the road surface is in excellent condition, and for the panorama offered to us. We descend to Pocol and take a left to the Falzarego Pass (3rd step 2105 m), from which we can admire the Tofane Alpine group, then we attack the Valparola pass (4th step 2190 m), we descend meeting San Cassiano, the Villa – Badia, here we take to Corvara where we continue to the Gardena pass (5th pass 2136 m), descending to the valley and then climbing towards the Sella pass (6th pass 2244 m), arriving at the bottom of the descent in Canazei we conclude our tour with several meters in altitude and 6 Dolomite passes.
Prepare the bikes we leave in the direction of Canazei, Penia, Passo Fedaia 1st step 2057 m / asl, at the top of the pass you can admire the Marmolada massif (3342 m / asl) with its imposing glacier and artificial lake. At the bottom of the descent we can make a detour to lengthen the excursion by turning left for Rocca Pietore, Caprile di Alleghe, Pieve di Livinallongo (remember the gasoline), until you get to the Col di Lana, from there you go back towards Pieve, Caprile, at the junction we turn right for Alleghe, arrived in Alleghe we park the bike and take the cable car.
Then the chairlift that will take us to the foot of Mount Civetta that with its 3220 m / slm stands above all the other peaks including that of Mount Pelmo located at 3168 m / slm.
We continue our trip towards Agordo passing through San Tommaso Agordino, Voltago Agordino, Gosaldo and Passo cereda 2nd step 1378 m / asl, curves and road surface in excellent condition lead to dare a little more than allowed and touching the platforms is not difficult.
At the bottom of the descent we pass the village of Fiera di Primiero, turn right for Passo Rolle 3rd step 1970 m / asl, the stop to admire the massif of the Pale di S. Martino is a must.
We descend towards Paneveggio and take a right for Passo Valles 4th step 2045 m / asl, in Falcade turn left for Passo S. Pellegrino 5th pass 1918 m / asl, so we arrive today at the hotel towards Soraga.
